Country House Will Not Run In The Preakness Stakes

(DRF) – Jay Privman of the Daily Racing Form reports that Country House will be sitting out of the Preakness.

According to the horse racing website, the default Derby winner is being pulled out of the second leg of the triple crown due to a cough.

Trainer Bill Mott told reporters that he appeared to be getting sick.

Country House won the Kentucky Derby after Maximum Security’s win was disqualified by stewards at the race. Maximum Security is also not running in the Preakness.
