Police: Man Arrested After Using Brother’s Identity To Avoid Arrest

MADISON COUNTY, Ky. (LEX 18)– A man was arrested Sunday in an odd turn of events.

According to the Berea Police Department, officers came into contact with 40-year-old Dana Moore.

Moore originally gave them his brother’s information and was placed under arrest based on the fact that his brother had an outstanding arrest warrant.

When it was discovered that Moore had given the wrong identity, he was charged with Theft of Identity of Another and Giving an Officer False Identifying Information.

He also had an outstanding arrest warrant.

Moore is lodged in the Madison County Detention Center.
