Father Arrested After 3-Year-Old Killed In Crash

WARREN COUNTY, Ky. (LEX 18)– A man has been arrested after his toddler was killed in a crash.

It happened around 7:39 p.m. Thursday in the 1300 block of Three Forks Road in Smiths Grove.

According to a press release from the sheriff’s department, when deputies arrived on scene they found a Ford Excursion overturned on the roadway.

The driver, 39-year-old Dyllan Martter, and his four children; a 1-year-old, a 3-year-old, and two 11-year-olds; were transported to Greenview Regional Hospital.

The 3-year-old was pronounced dead shortly after arriving at the hospital.

While investigating, deputies arrested Martter and charged him with murder (facilitation), operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol/drugs, and three counts of first-degree wanton endangerment.

He was lodged in the Warren County Regional Jail.
