LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18)– A suspect has been taken into custody, two months after a woman was shot in Lexington.
According to an arrest citation, 31-year-old Josiah Riggs was arrested early Thursday morning.
Police say Riggs shot a woman the night of March 7 at a home on Warfield Place. She was reportedly staying at the same address as Riggs.
The citation goes on to say Riggs shot the woman in the pelvic region following an argument, leaving her with serious injuries.
Police say the victim positively identified Riggs through a photo lineup.
He’s in the Fayette County Detention Center charged with first-degree assault.
