CHRISTIAN COUNTY, Ky. (LEX 18) — The Christian County Sheriff’s Department is warning residents to be on the lookout for counterfeit money, after four phony $100 bills were found.
Authorities said the fake money was discovered Friday in Hopkinsville, and the Sheriff’s Department says there is a strong possibility that more of the bills are circulating.
Officials advise closely checking all cash before accepting it as payment.
Authorities said anyone with suspected counterfeit cash should contact law enforcement immediately.
