Police Investigating Shots Fired

LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18)– Lexington Police are investigating after a witness said shots rang out along Alumni Drive Monday evening.

Police say that it happened around 7:45 p.m. on Alumni Drive at Yellowstone Parkway. The witness told police that a black Mazda was travelling towards New Circle Road when a maroon Cadillac pulled up next to it. The witness told police that someone inside the Cadillac started shooting at someone inside the Mazda.

Police say that the witness told them two men were seen running from the Mazda, which was left on Alumni Drive. They say the driver of the Cadillac took off.

So far, police have no suspects, and they have not found anyone who was hit by gunfire.
