HENDERSON COUNTY, Ky. (WFIE)– A former assistant commonwealth’s attorney is facing drunk driving charges.
It happened Sunday night in Henderson.
Police say employees at a pharmacy called officers after a man fell outside the business.
When officers arrived they found Kurt Denton.
Denton had reportedly driven to the store to pick up medicine.
Officers say he smelled strongly of alcohol and admitted to drinking whiskey.
Denton failed several field sobriety tests and was later arrested.
He was booked into the Henderson County Detention Center, but has since been released.
