LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18) – A new Target store will soon bring 70 jobs to the area.

The new location at South Upper will celebrate the grand opening of its Lexington small-format store this summer and is now beginning to hire 70 team members.

Interested candidates are encouraged to apply at Target.com/careers ahead of job fairs held May 20-24 at the Lexington Southeast Target store.

“At Target, our team brings an easy and convenient shopping experience to life – and we’re building a talented team of 70 new members who will help us serve the residents and students in the Lexington area. We look forward to meeting the needs of the neighborhood, while also providing our team meaningful opportunities to build and develop skills for their careers,” said Crystal Stone, store director, Target.”

Target offers various education benefits, such as tuition and GED reimbursement, to support team members’ continuous learning as they build skills for a lifetime. This investment in the team will allow Target to continue to recruit and retain strong team members and provide an elevated experience for its guests and in the communities it serves.

The Lexington store will be located at 500 South Upper Street in the Hub on Campus Lexington. It’s Target’s first small-format store in the state of Kentucky.
