Fayette County Coroner Finds Family Of Homeless Man

LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18)– The Fayette County coroner is seeking the public’s assistance finding the family of a Lexington man.

61-year-old Marshall Caywood Proffit was born Sept. 12, 1957, and died of natural causes May 14 at Saint Joseph Hospital East.

Officials say Proffit was homeless and had no permanent address.

It’s possible he has two children, Mark and Stephanie Bentley, who were adopted by their grandparents. They may live or have lived in Pikeville. Stephanie may have married.
