Police Investigate Overnight Shooting On Owsley Avenue

LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18)– A man is in the hospital and police are searching for suspects after a shooting in Lexington.

It happened around 2:30 a.m. Thursday in the 300 block of Owsley Avenue.

Police say a 61-year-old man awakened to knocks at his door. When he went to answer, four men kicked it in and came inside. One of the suspects started firing shots, hitting the victim in the leg.

We’re told his injury is not life-threatening.

Police say the four suspects took off, but it’s unclear in which direction.

There were other people home at the time, but no one else was hurt.

The shooting remains under investigation.
