Firefighter Comforts Dog Following Fatal Crash

LYON COUNTY, Ky. (WPSD Local 6) – A firefighter comforted a dog following a terrible crash in Lyon County.

According to WPSD Local 6, a bystander snapped the heartbreaking photo following a fatal crash on I-24.

One person was trapped in his vehicle and his dog wouldn’t leave his side. To help out, Fire Marshall Bill Compton comforted and cared for the dog while crews worked to get the man out.

This photo of Bill comforting the dog was taken after the man was freed and airlifted away. No word on the condition of that man at this time.

The road is still blocked.
