LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE 3)– The man who was shot and killed by police near Louisville has been identified.

Police say 30-year-old Djuantez Anthony Mitchell was shot after he hit Officer Bryan Arnold with his car in Jeffersontown on Wednesday.

Mitchell was being monitored in connection to a series of robberies in the area over the past week.
