BOYD COUNTY, Ky. (LEX 18)– An Ohio man has been arrested in Kentucky after he allegedly attempted to have sex with a 14-year-old.
Kyle Shinkle, of Portsmouth, was the subject of an undercover investigation by Ashland Police Department’s Cyber Crimes Unit.
Police say he traveled from Portsmouth to Ashland, believing he would be meeting a 14-year-old girl for sex.
Instead, he was met by arresting officers.
Shinkle is charged with using an electronic communication device to procure a minor for sex.
