NELSON COUNTY, Ky. (LEX 18)– Bardstown Police Officer Jason Ellis was shot and killed nearly six years ago, and still, no arrests have been made in the case.

Now, the FBI is offering a $50,000 reward hoping it will generate information leading to his killer.

Officer Ellis had just finished his shift early on the morning of May 25, 2013, when he encountered debris on the ramp of Exit 34 of the Bluegrass Parkway. When he stopped to clear the debris from the road, he was shot and killed.

Anyone with information about the case can report it to any FBI officer, American embassy, or consulate.
