Man Charged In Pulaski County Shooting

PULASKI COUNTY, Ky. (LEX 18) — A Bronston man has been arrested and charged with assault following a shooting Monday afternoon.

Deputies responded Monday afternoon to a 911 call of a shooting in Bronston.

The deputies, as well as officers from the Burnside Police Department and Kentucky State Police, responded to the scene on Bonnie Blue Lane around 12:54 p.m.

They located a victim suffering from a gunshot wound. Deputies said they also located the suspect in the shooting who they say was taken into custody without incident. A handgun was recovered at the scene.

The victim and the suspect were living in the home when an altercation between the two spilled out on to the street where the shooting took place, according to deputies.

The victim was airlifted to the University of Kentucky Medical Center. The person’s condition was not immediately disclosed.

Gregory Coots, 24, was arrested and has been lodged in the Pulaski County Sheriff’s Office.
