LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE 3) – A 15-year-old girl hit and killed by a train while walking along the Pope Lick train trestle has been identified.
The incident happened on May 26. According to WAVE 3 News, Savannah Bright and another girl were walking on the tracks when a train approached and were not able to get down before they were hit.
Bright was pronounced dead at the scene. Bright’s friend was taken to UofL Hospital where she is listed as stable.
