Murder Suspect Gets Away During Foot Pursuit

WHITLEY COUNTY, Ky. (LEX 18) -A Whitley County man accused of murdering his girlfriend managed to evade multiple law enforcement agencies following a foot pursuit.

According to a post, Nicholas Rucker evaded capture following a pursuit in the area of HWY 511 in Woodbine. The sheriff recognized Rucker while he was answering another call in the area.

The sheriff pursued Rucker on foot while multiple agencies joined in. Troopers from KSP, agents from the Forestry Department, Corbin Police, the Laurel County Sheriffs Office and deputies from Whitley County Sheriffs Department searched for hours into the night along with two air units.

Rucker is accused of shooting and killing his girlfriend, Vicki S. Conner last week. He is considered armed and dangerous. If you spot him, call 911 immediately.
