LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18)– A local group got the chance to give back at the Catholic Action Center in Lexington.

Members Heritage Credit Union employees provided breakfast Thursday for those at the center.

The center will celebrate its 20th anniversary next month.

So far, 5.9 million meals have been served thanks to local groups willing to volunteer and help out those in need.

Volunteers say helping out at the center can be very rewarding.

“At any point in time, this can affect you in a very personal way and I want someone to give me that hand up or to reach out to me if I ever am,” said Tammy Burker of Members Heritage Credit Union.
