WHITLEY COUNTY, Ky. (LEX 18/ The Times-Tribune)– The search continues for a Whitley County murder suspect who is believed to be armed and dangerous.

Nicholas Rucker, 38, is accused of killing his girlfriend, Vicki Connor, and is now fleeing the law. Rucker has already been convicted of murder once before. He was sentenced in 1999.

Police are reiterating to people, do not engage with Rucker.

“This is an area where firearms are very important, very much a way of life, we are a hunting community, a pro 2nd amendment community, and lots of people have guns. We discourage people from acting out and taking justice into there own hands. We very much believe in the system, we believe in the investigation, we will succeed in court and I believe we will succeed in apprehending him,” said Commonwealth’s Attorney Ronnie Bowling.

According to the Times-Tribune, Rucker was possibly sighted in Tennesee.
