CLAY COUNTY, Ky. (LEX 18)– A manhunt has been called off after a woman was shot with a sawed-off shotgun.
The Manchester Enterprise reports that the shooting happened around 7:30 p.m. Sunday near US 421 and Elk Creek.
According to sheriff’s officials, the victim later told them she shot herself.
A neighbor reportedly called 911 and told authorities they saw two people running away after they heard the gunshot.
Officials are currently trying to learn more details about the incident.
