FAYETTE COUNTY, Ky. (LEX 18) — FBI agents and emergency crews responded Tuesday afternoon to Bluegrass Station at Avon after reports of a suspicious vehicle and possible explosive.

Lexington police said its Hazardous Devices Unit was also deployed to look at a “suspicious vehicle.” Officials said that one of the two people in the truck had “inaccurate credentials” to be on the campus used by military contractors. The other person failed further security screening. That is when the truck was searched and “explosive indicators” were found, according to the Director of Bluegrass Station.

Alarms sounded and the facility was evacuated.

An LEX 18 crew at the scene saw a robot being used to approach the trailer truck outside the gate.

Nothing was found in the truck and the scene has cleared.

Bluegrass Station is described as Department of Defense-style campus that houses governmental and private entities.
