VERSAILLES, Ky. (LEX 18) – Many people from across the country came together to help children whose families are affected by substance abuse.
The Blameless Children event was held at Journey Church in Versailles.
It was a free family event dedicated to children who are affected by addiction.
Many guest speakers included children from all over the country, who were there to share their story on addiction and how important is to talk about it.
“I think it’s really important to have an open conversation about this, because, I mean, everyone is being affected today. So it’s important to talk about this, and have no shame to it, and realize people need purpose and they need connection,” said Jennifer Gimenez, one of the speakers.
The Heart Ministries Organization hosted today’s event.
