LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18) – Lexington Police are investigating a crash on I-75 involving a sedan and a semi carrying a trailer with horses inside.
This happened earlier tonight on I-75 near mile marker 106 in the northbound lanes.
Police tell us that the car was in the left lane, when the driver hydroplaned, and went into the right lane. At that point, the semi pulling the horse trailer was clipped.
Both vehicles went into a ditch off the side, but the trailer managed to stay upright.
No people or horses were injured in the crash.
Two lanes are closed while the cleanup continues. The company transporting the horses has called out another semi to pick up the horses, and deliver them to their destination.
