LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18)– If you love Kentucky Fried Chicken, but hate the fact that you can’t preserve it for the rest of your life, well you’re in luck!

From the store that brought you preserved Derby Turds comes preserved Kentucky fried drumsticks.

Whit Hiler, part owner of Kentucky for Kentucky, said that they got the idea after the preserved turds of Kentucky Derby winner Silver Charm gained national attention.

The preserved poops were the idea of artist Coleman Larkin, who says that his preserving methods are absolutely top secret.

“It’s a poxy resin, so some people when they see it in just a photo, they think it’s just like maybe liquidy. And they’re like, ‘ew, that’s disgusting. It’s sloshing around in there.’ But it’s not, it’s like a liquid plastic, that like I said, it cures hard like glass,” said Larkin.

The drumsticks in a jar will last a lifetime…and then some.

“The end of the world comes, all the KFC’s are destroyed, and everybody’s like, in need of food, I mean, this can come in handy,” said Hiler.

The preserved drumsticks are made with 100% real chicken from the Colonel’s original recipe.

Hiler says they only have about 50, so if you want to have a piece of Kentucky Fried Chicken that will last you an eternity, buy now.
