WHITLEY COUNTY, Ky. (LEX 18)- The family of the woman shot and killed at a home in Whitley County last month is turning to the public for help in finding her alleged killer.
Police have been following up on leads, but there’s still no word on the whereabouts of Nicholas Rucker. Rucker is accused of killing Vicki Conner.A crowdsourcing page established by Conner’s family hopes to raise a $10,000 reward for information leading to Rucker’s arrest.
On May 22, police were called to the scene of a shooting at a house in Woodbine. They found Conner, 57, dead inside. Police say Rucker had already fled the scene. A few days later, the Whitley County Sheriff spotted Rucker and a chase ensued, but he managed to escape.
He’s believed to be armed and very dangerous and has previously served time behind bars for murder.
The family says that they want peace of mind and justice so they can start the healing process.
