Sheriff: Three Arrested After Breaking Into Home Of Recently Deceased Man

BELL COUNTY, Ky. (LEX 18) – Three individuals were arrested after they allegedly broke into the home of a man who recently died.

According to the Bell County Sheriff’s office, the incident was happening at a residence of a man who had passed away on Monday, June 10th and while most of the surviving family was at his funeral.

Officers were dispatched to a home on Balkan Road. Upon arrival, officers noticed a trail behind the residence which led them to George Johnson, Mary Johnson, and Dolly Brock.

According to a post on the sheriff’s Facebook page, George Johnson was carrying a crowbar and appeared to be under the influence. After ignoring a command to drop the bar, Johnson was pepper-sprayed.

George Johnson was taken into custody and lodged in the Bell County Detention Center charged with menacing, resisting arrest, criminal trespassing – 3rd degree, public intoxication (excluding alcohol), and he was served with an outstanding warrant for not appearing in court on shoplifting charges in March of this year.

Mary Johnson was arrested and charged with criminal trespassing – 3rd degree.

Dolly Brock was arrested and charged with criminal trespassing – 3rd degree and public intoxication
