Injured Georgetown Police Officer Returns Home

LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18) – After a Wisconsin hit-and-run crash that left him in serious condition, a Georgetown police officer is back in Kentucky.

According to a post on the organization’s Facebook page, Officer Cole Centner was critically injured while driving on a rural Wisconsin road. Cole was hit by another driver. That man fled the crash scene, leaving Cole with broken legs, broken ribs, a concussion and a collapsed lung. He was airlifted from the scene.

Centner and his wife are expecting their first child and he was on his way to their baby shower when the crash occurred.
