Man Arrested After Officials Say He Falsely Reported Someone Being Held At Gunpoint

LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. (LEX 18) – The Laurel County sheriff’s office says that a man was arrested and taken into custody after they say he falsely reported an incident.

According to a post to their Facebook page, sheriff’s officials say that deputies were dispatched to Lisowe Lane to reports of an individual being held at gunpoint.

Once on scene, officers figured out that the incident did not happen. Jared W. McQueen was charged with falsely reporting an incident and was lodged in the Laurel County Corrections center.
