LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18) — Lexington police arrested a man early Wednesday morning after someone fired gunshots into two apartments and two cars on the city’s south side.

Authorities said 36-year-old Harrison May will be arraigned later Wednesday on multiple charges.

Police said officers were called out around 12:30 a.m. to an apartment complex near the intersection of Man o’ War and Todds Road.

Responding officers allegedly found May with a handgun at the scene. Officials tell LEX 18 that May complied with police commands, dropping the gun before being arrested.

Police say one of the apartments that were fired into was vacant, and the other had people inside but no one was hurt.

May was charge with first-degree criminal mischief, possession of a controlled substance and four counts of first-degree wanton endangerment.

He was being held in the Fayette County Detention Center.
