VERSAILLES, Ky. (LEX 18) – A Woodford County man is accused of child exploitation after investigators say they discovered child pornography.
Don C. Lewis III was arrested after KSP executed a search warrant at 105 Plum Tree Court, Versailles. Electronic equipment was seized and is pending a forensic examination.
The Kentucky State Police Electronic Crime Branch began the investigation after they say Lewis was sharing images of child sexual exploitation online and promoting the sexual performance of juveniles online.
Lewis was located and arrested in Prince George, Virginia by Fort Lee Military Police. He is currently awaiting extradition to Kentucky to face charges.
Lewis is currently charged with one count of prohibited use of electronic communication system to procure a minor and one count of distribution of matter portraying a sexual performance by a minor. Both charges are class D felonies and punishable by one to five years in prison
