LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18) — After nearly two months of investigation, a man accused of shooting at his former girlfriend is behind bars in Lexington.

Police say on May 1, Richardson fired four or five shots near his ex-girlfriend’s vehicle as she was driving on Devonport Drive in the Cardinal Valley area on the city’s northwest side.

Lexington police arrested Richardson on Sunday during a traffic stop. A warrant had been out for his arrest for nearly two months.

He faces additional charges related to the arrest, including providing false identifying information and resisting arrest.

Back in May, police said they found a bullet hole in his ex-girlfriend’s car and several 9 mm shell casings.

Beyond the charges related to his arrest, Richardson faces a charge of wanton endangerment stemming from the shooting.
