Man held after high-speed chase, crash in Laurel County

LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. (LEX 18) — Several law enforcement agencies teamed up to stop a fleeing suspect Friday evening.

Authorities arrested 26-year-old Justin Donley of Georgia after a high-speed chase.

The pursuit began just before 8:30 p.m. in London. Police said they attempted to pull over a vehicle driven by Donley when he sped away.

A pursuit by Laurel County Sheriff’s deputies and Corbin police reached speeds in excess of 100 m.p.h., officials said.

Police said Donley crashed his vehicle on U.S. Highway 25.

Donley was charged with fleeing police, wanton endangerment and multiple traffic violations.
