LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18) — Outbound lanes of Tates Creek Road in Lexington are back open following an alleged DUI crash overnight.
Lexington police said they were called at about 1:30 a.m. to the intersection of Tates Creek Road at McMeekin Place to assist the Sheriff's Department with a crash.
Officials said a vehicle hit a pole and caught fire. Police tell LEX 18 that the driver was arrested on a DUI charge.
Kentucky Utilities was called to the scene. The intersection of Tates Creek Road at Alumni Drive has been without power for some time, but crews worked to restore it.
The road reopened to traffic around 6:30 a.m.
