(LEX 18) — The Kentucky Supreme Court denied an appeal in the murder conviction of Shayna Hubers.

A jury convicted Shayna Huber, who is from Lexington, of murdering her boyfriend, Ryan Poston, back in 2012 in Campbell County. Hubers claims she shot Poston in self-defense.

Her first trial was overturned after the discovery that a convicted felon served on her jury. She was convicted again in 2018 and is serving life in prison.

Hubers argued that there were issues with jury selection and where her trial was held, but the Supreme Court affirmed her conviction.
