ATV passenger killed in crash

MCCARR, Ky. (LEX 18) — Kentucky State Police are investigating following a deadly ATV crash.

It happened around 11:00 p.m. Sunday on Left Fork Blackberry Road in McCarr.

Troopers say an ATV left the road, hit a guardrail and went into a creek.

The driver and passenger were thrown from the vehicle. Officials say both were taken to a local hospital.

The passenger, Chris Fields, 40 years old of Ransom, was pronounced dead at the hospital.

An investigation continues at this time.
