LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18) — The Lexington Legends home opener is less than two months away, and preparations are underway for the 2020 season.
One important task is picking singers for the National Anthem.
This weekend, the Legends' staff held auditions for at Fayette Mall.
Anyone could walk up and try out.
"It's pretty exciting. I love playing my guitar in front of people," said Justice Young.
"It's kind of our kick off for Opening Day coming up. So we get really excited around this time of year because it means baseball season is coming, and this is the kick off season for that," said Anne Mapson, Director of Marketing for the Legends.
The Legends have nearly 70 home games this year.
The Legends' home opener is on April 9.
