Beshear recommends schools remain closed through Apr. 20

LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18) — Gov, Andy Beshear recommended that schools around the Commonwealth remain closed until Apr. 20 as the state works to prevent the spread of the novel coronavirus.

Both Scott and Fayette County Schools sent an email to parents following a teleconference with the Governor. Following that recommendation, they have to agreed to remain closed and will continue to serve breakfast and lunch to students. Others school districts are expected to follow suit. Jessamine County also announced that they will remain closed.

Schools will hand out NTI assignments to students to complete.
