FRANKFORT, Ky. (LEX 18) — Gov. Andy Beshear released the analysis for former Gov. Bevin's initial pension reform plan and states that the plan would have cost the state more than the initial reforms made in 2013.

In October of 2017, Bevin announced the "Keeping the Promise" plan but it didn't move forward in the legislature. The analysis of that pension plan was not released to the public at that time.

According to Beshear, the report shows that the proposed 2017 reforms would have cost the state retirement systems more and negatively affected the retirements of educators and public employees.
