(LEX 18) — BHG, who operates the restaurants Malone's, Harry's and Drake's locally, has laid off part of their staff following the Governor's request to close restaurants to all dine-in traffic.

The restaurant and hospitality industry has felt the pain of the novel coronavirus outbreak. The company sent an email to their employees instructing them on how to set up unemployment.

"Guests are going to be able to continue dining with us via carryout and delivery but as of 4 p.m. this evening, our dining rooms will be closed. This means that a significant number of our team members will be out of work and will need to file unemployment," reads the email.

Unemployment insurances is roughly 56-62% of a worker's income.

Fans of the BHG family of restaurants can still order food for pickup.

If you are out of work and need to file for unemployment you can file online, in person at a Kentucky Career Center Office or by phone at 502-875-0442.
