Burn ban issued in area counties due to weather conditions

BOURON COUNTY, Ky. (LEX 18) — On Monday, Bourbon County Executive Judge Michael R. Williams issued a burn ban, effective on Tuesday afternoon, due to weather conditions.

The executive order detailed that the weather conditions can cause grass and forest fires in Bourbon County and therefore all outdoor burning is prohibited.

"I urge all Bourbon County citizens to comply with this proclamation so that we can preserve and protect property and timber and grass areas and resources," the order read.

  • Metcalfe
  • Todd
  • Warren
