Candidates planning stops in eastern KY just before Election Day

FRANKFORT, Ky. (LEX 18) — Election Day is less than 48 hours away.

On Monday, the two leading Democratic candidates for US Senate, Charles Booker and Amy McGrath. are scheduled to visit the same three cities in eastern Kentucky.

Booker rallied in eight cities over the weekend, including an event Saturday night in downtown Lexington.

He plans to spend Monday in Hazard, Pikeville, and Ashland before returning to Louisville. His campaign says that's where he will be on Election Day.

Meanwhile, McGrath made two stops in western Kentucky on Saturday. She visited Murray and Cadiz.

On Monday, McGrath will go to Ashland, Pikeville, then Hazard.

She and Booker are scheduled to be in Pikeville at separate events at the same time.
