ELKHORN CITY, Ky. (LEX 18) — After voting to pass an ordinance allowing for the sale of alcohol, Elkhorn City will be hosting a workshop regarding the new law.
The town in rural Pike County passed the ordinance Tuesday 262-202. Council members who supported the bill say it will be a great opportunity to promote economic growth for small businesses.
The city will hold a workshop on Tuesday, Nov. 12 at 6 p.m. at city hall. The Kentucky League of Cities will have representatives there to discuss the next steps regarding sales of alcohol and regulatory fees.
Lee County and McKee also passed ordinances allowing the sale of alcohol.
