FRANKFORT, Ky. (LEX 18) — The Kentucky Court of Appeals has tossed out the sex abuse conviction of an Edmonson County man, and ordered a new trial.
47 year-old George Goodman was convicted of 30 counts of sex abuse, and 30 counts of unlawful transaction with a minor in 2013.
He had been charged with inappropriately touching a female relative from the time she was nine years old, until she turned 15.
In overturning the case, the Court of Appeals unanimously found that Goodman's attorney was ineffective in representing him.
