COVID-19 positivity rate continues to drop in Kentucky

FRANKFORT, Ky. (LEX 18) — On Sunday, Governor Beshear's office reported that the positivity rate of COVID-19 had dropped below 8%.

The current rate is now 7.97%.

There were 1,532 new cases of COVID-19 reported across the state.

31 more Kentuckians have died after contracting the virus. The death toll is now 4,051.

There are currently 1,235 COVID-positive patients in Kentucky hospitals. 290 of those patients are in the ICU, and 140 are using a ventilator.
