LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18) — Lexington Police dispatchers tell LEX 18 that Old Frankfort Pike near Phillips Lane has reopened following a crash.
The crash happened just before 6 a.m. Thursday. Police say a garbage truck and car collided into one another. The car caught fire and was extinguished.
Two people who were in the car at the time were taken to the hospital. Police say injuries appear to be non-life-threatening. Everyone in the garbage truck is reported to be okay.
Old Frankfort Pike was closed in both directions. The road reopened around 6:45 a.m.
