UPDATE: July 9 at 3:30 p.m.
Director of Emergency Management Drew Chandler reported on Thursday afternoon that families in the apartments above the Wilson Pool Room building on Lexington Street in Versailles have been displaced.
Chandler added that one person was taken to the hospital for smoke inhalation but no additional injuries were reported. He added that one pet had died in the fire.
Judge Executive James Kay reported that the five people displaced are getting services through the Red Cross, the Salvation Army, and the Woodford Foundation.
As of 3:45 p.m., "the scene is stable," Chandler added.
Kay noted that fire crews continue to work the scene while Chandler added that Main Street is expected to open later Thursday evening.

Crews have responded to a structure fire on Lexington Street (US60) in downtown Versailles on Thursday morning.
LEX News on the scene captured the scene as smoke filled the Wilson Pool Room building at 137 Lexington Street.
In addition, Anderson and Scott County fire units have arrived on the scene to assist.
Woodford County Emergency Management Agency reported that the Red Cross is on the scene in downtown Versailles Thursday to assist displaced residents.
Woodford County Judge Executive James Kay issued a statement, asking the community to pray for those affected by the fire:
"I ask all of Versailles and Woodford County to join me in prayer for everyone affected by this incident, including the Wilson family, the families who lost everything, other business owners, neighboring properties, and the brave men and women currently on the scene. Crews are actively and aggressively working to protect the rest of our historic downtown area from further damage. Please take a moment to send a prayer for their continued safety as they work through the day."
Kay added that drivers should expect delays in the area as crews continue to battle the fire.
