CYNTHIANA, Ky. (LEX 18) — The Cynthiana mayor has taken to social media to ask residents to "stop losing their minds over trick-or-treat time changes."

Many events across central Kentucky have been moved due to a threat of rain. Parents of children have weighed in on social media about the change in their plans.

Mayor James Smith got on Facebook to address complainers:

Cynthiana's trick-or-treat is scheduled for Oct. 31, 2019 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m.
