Lexington City Council votes to extend data center moratorium through October 2027

LEXINGTON, Ky. — Lexington City Council voted to extended the city's data center moratorium through Oct. 2027 on Thursday evening. The measure was passed Thursday night with a 11-0 vote.

It comes just a day after Lexington residents voiced their opinion against proposed data center projects within city limits. The moratorium will now run through Oct. 31, 2027.
