(LEX 18) — Today is the last day to register to vote before next month’s general election. The deadline is 4 p.m.
There are two ways to register. You can fill out an application online at GoVoteKY.com.
You can also submit a voter registration card by mail or in person at your local county clerk's office. You can download and print out a card or get a copy at the clerk's office.
Once you are registered to vote, your county clerk should send you a confirmation letter in the mail, with your polling location.
In order to register, must be a U.S. citizen, 18 years or older by election day, and a resident of Kentucky for at least 29 days before the election.
If you recently moved counties or legally changed your name, you will have to re-register to vote. You can check your registration status on GoVoteKY.com.
The general election is Nov. 5.
