VERSAILLES, Ky. (LEX 18) — A church in Woodford County started a new Christmas time tradition with a drive-thru nativity.

The event was created by Pisgah Church and had five scenes with real sheep, goats, actors, a donkey, camel, and cow.

The drive-thru started at 5 on Saturday with a radio station people could listen to Christmas music as they drove through.

"I think it's just proof of the desire of everybody to have a sense of normalcy in this time that they're responding in this way. So I think we chose a good year to do this for the first time," said Pastor Hannah McIntyre.

McIntyre says normally they would have two Christmas Eve services but is glad about the turnout they saw.

She says since it was a big success they might make it an annual event.
